A Note From Dan

Christmas is my favorite time of the year.  It is also the busiest time of the year. From Christmas shopping to Christmas parties many times we are exhausted by the time Christmas day gets here. I hope that this year you will slow down and take time to enjoy the season and Celebrate Christmas. There are many opportunities around church to help you get into the Christmas Spirit and celebrate the true meaning of Christmas in the coming of the Christ Child. On Sunday afternoon at 3:00 PM will be a great opportunity to begin this season well with “Celebrate Christmas Again”. This presentation by our Sanctuary Choir and orchestra along with our Youth Choir, Children’s Choir, Drama and Visual Arts groups will present the Christmas Story. I hope that you will use this opportunity to invite your friends and neighbors to come.

Part of the Christmas season is our Lottie Moon Mission Offering. I hope that you will make this mission offering a part of your Christmas. Please pray about your gift as we support International Missions. Our church goal is $32,000.00.

Sunday morning at the end of our morning worship our Personnel Committee and our Deacons will present a joint recommendation to call Dr. Dale Huff as our Interim Pastor. I hope that you will be in prayer for this decision as we continue to minister to this community during the interim time. Thank you for your continued support of our church during this time. During the interim time it is so important that we move together.

Please join me in praying daily for our Pastor Search Committee. They are busy praying for direction in their search. They are conducting a survey and if you have not had the opportunity to complete your survey please do so this week. There will be copies of the survey again in your Sunday school classes this Sunday. If you need a survey to complete there are also copies in the church office and welcome centers.
