Moving Forward

Sunday was our Children’s Music and Missions Kick-off, featuring guest percussionist Carol James. Carol did an outstanding job playing Marimba in worship and leading our preschoolers and children in the afternoon! Sunday night the children did a superb job sharing what they learned in the afternoon!

Many thanks to Greg, our creative children’s minister; Linda Solze, Wayne Robinson and mission leadership team; as well as our children’s music directors and leadership team! This event could not have been possible without all of these wonderful volunteers!

Sunday was just the beginning of an exciting year in children’s music and missions. Each week the groups meet in their individual classrooms.

These are refreshing and challenging times in our church. Sunday night our youth also shared in worship about their experiences on choir tour and camps this summer. I was stirred to see our young men and women step forward and pledge themselves to a closer walk with Christ; some of whom have committed to full-time vocational ministry! We have so much for which to be thankful!

We stand on the threshold of amazing things which God has in store for Eastern Hills! I am thankful for all He has done and is doing! How do we move forward? At the center we must acknowledge from whom our strength comes.

Psalm 121: 1-2 (NIV)
I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.

To God be the glory!

Keith
