Our Jerusalem

WOW! Sunday morning worship was wonderful! The spirit of the Lord was all over that service. From the music to the message it was truly a time of “Worship.” Dewayne Rembert did a wonderful job in sharing God’s Word and telling about his journey to Christ. We are blessed to have him as a part of our Montgomery Baptist Association and his leadership at Flatline Church in Chisholm. If you would like to know more about Dewayne, he has written a book entitled “Flatlined 2 NGauge.” Please call the church office and speak with Cindy Martin if you would like to buy a copy of this book. It is also on Amazon and can be purchased there.

We are to be intentional in our efforts to reach the lost in this city. We all know people in our circle of influence that need to know Jesus. You may be the only one that can get to that person. The excitement that was present in our service this past Sunday does no good unless we take it with us and become intentional about reaching people for Jesus. Since Sunday, I personally have had several opportunities to share Christ and to develop relationships with people who need Christ. If we are not intentional about being evangelistic then those opportunities might slip by us and we not even realize it. I hope that as you go about your activities of the week that you will constantly be looking for opportunities to build relationships and share Christ everywhere you go.

Acts 1:8 tells us, “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”I believe that our first responsibility as a Christian is to be a witness in our Jerusalem. At Eastern Hills we are committed to being an ‘Acts 1:8 Church.’ We look forward to seeing you Sunday for another exciting time of worship and Bible Study.
